L2 v Wapping

After last weeks top of the table clash the ladies in purple were ready to take on Wapping who were sitting just 2 places and 2 points below us.

Missing our captain Chantal Pampellonne meant our rousing team talk in the changing room was led by Carla Preston.

With a strong starting line up our forwards; Amber Preston, Lucy Leel and Liberty Morrell pressured the Wapping defence from the off. Wapping had a young and speedy midfield but this was no match for Carla Preston, Tia Rowe and Kat Hawes

A crack at goal and a mistake from the Wapping keeper led to Crostyx taking the lead and finishing the half 1-0 up through an own goal.

After another fighting talk from Carla Preston, we came back ready to get some more goals on the scoreboard.

Wapping's frustration grew more evident as we were passing the ball around the team from the defence through the midfield and creating lots of play in our attacking half. Which led to us winning some penalty corners. Lucy Leel deftly drag flicking the ball into the back of the goal. Taking us 2-0 up.

Our third and final goal came from Amber Preston who tucked a well time cross into the corner of the goal.

Player of the match was given to Lucy Leel.
