Crostyx HC Celebrates Another Outstanding Season at End of Season Awards Dinner
More than 120 members, volunteers, supporters and friends of Crostyx HC came together to celebrate another fantastic season at our annual End of Season Dinner.

The evening was a chance to look back on everything that has made the 2025/26 season such a success. From league titles and promotions to the continued growth of our junior section, it has been another year that highlights what makes Crostyx such a special club.
Chairman David Ducat reflected on a season built on teamwork both on and off the pitch, thanking the growing committee, coaches, umpires, volunteers and supporters who continue to make the club thrive. With Ladies 2s crowned league champions and both the Men's 3s and Men's 4s earning promotion, there was certainly plenty to celebrate.

The evening's awards recognised those individuals who have made a significant contribution throughout the season.

The Umpire of the Season award went to Paul Fuller, whose commitment to the club continues to be extraordinary. Paul has once again been a familiar face on the sidelines every weekend, regularly officiating multiple matches and helping ensure every fixture could go ahead. His dedication was recognised throughout the season and he became the first Crostyx umpire to reach an incredible 50 matches in a single season.

The Junior Umpire of the Season award was presented to Sam Pratt, recognising the huge contribution he has made both as a player and as a young umpire. Always willing to pick up a whistle when needed, Sam's commitment to the club was reflected by the fact he would later collect a second award during the evening.

Mixed hockey has gone from strength to strength this season, with more than 60 players taking part across two teams and Crostyx returning to National Cup competition. The Mixed Team Player of the Season award went to Chris Tilley, whose performances were central to the team's success and whose heroics in goal helped Crostyx push higher-level opposition all the way in the cup competition.

Across the senior teams, several outstanding individual performances were recognised.
For the Ladies 3s, Holly Price took home Player of the Season after playing a key role ina a season that saw the team narrowly miss out on promotion. Her defensive strength, determination and ability to contribute at both ends of the pitch made her a standout performer throughout the year.

Carl Chandler was named Men's 4s Player of the Season after an excellent campaign across multiple teams. Despite splitting his time between sides, Carl finished as the Men's 4s leading scorer and assist provider and was a major reason behind another successful season for the team.

Sam Pratt, was deservedly named Men's 3s Player of the Season. Sam's performances were a huge part of a season that saw the Men's 3s finish third before later securing promotion to South East Division 3. The award capped a remarkable year for a player who has a bright future at the club.

Fresh from a title-winning campaign, Annie Duck collected the Ladies 2s Player of the Season award. At just 14 years old, Annie became an integral part of a side that scored 80 goals on its way to winning the league. Her confidence, maturity and quality on the ball stood out all season and she was a hugely deserving winner.

For the Men's 2s, Liam Higgins was recognised for his consistency and contribution during a season where the side remained competitive in one of the toughest divisions in the region.
The Ladies 1s Player of the Season award went to Kiera Murphy, whose versatility and consistent performances helped the side secure a fourth-place finish and continue their progress towards the top of the division.
Meanwhile, Dom Bury collected the Men's 1s Player of the Season award after another impressive season at the heart of a side that continued to establish itself in London Division 2 North.

The Team of the Season award was presented to the Men's 4s. The side once again finished near the top of the table and embodied everything that makes Crostyx special, combining experienced players with young talent coming through the junior ranks while maintaining a competitive and enjoyable environment throughout the season. The Men’s 4 players collectively also give a lot to Crostyx, with regular umpires, coaches and committee members within their team, this too helped decide their title of Team of the Season.

The evening concluded with the presentation of the club's highest individual honour, the Mike Pickthall Trophy, awarded by the Chairman.

This year's recipient was Scott McGinlay, recognised for his contribution both on and off the pitch. Alongside captaining the Men's 3s to promotion, Scott has served as Club Treasurer, coached within the junior section, supported club administration and helped organise one of the biggest End of Season Dinners the club has ever hosted.

As another successful season comes to a close, the future continues to look bright for Crostyx. With growing membership, a thriving junior section, successful senior teams and a fantastic group of volunteers driving the club forward, there is plenty to look forward to in 2026/27.
