A 3-1 defeat was not really a fair reflection of the game. Crostyx, for much of the match, were the better team.

With only 3 matches in the men’s section, the 4s had just 11 players including 6 youngsters, some new to adult hockey. Playing in the heat was tiring but the team played some excellent hockey creating many chances but unfortunately not putting them away. We were 1-0 down at half time and they scored two goals to make it 3-0. In the second half Oskar Kyson and Bondy hit the post and finally we got some reward with a lovely pass from Oscar Leal to Monty Biddick who placed the ball in the corner. There was excellent passing between father and son combo Dave and Sam Pratt and great defensive work from Conrad, Fish and Oliver (Player of the Match). Thanks as always to the supporters/parents.
