The Men’s 3rd Team traveled down with a bare 11 players on their journey to take Old Southendians on their second game of the year.
Crostyx displayed a strong start, but their momentum was halted after just 10 minutes due to an unfortunate injury to Kevin Fish, leaving them with 10 men. Despite this disadvantage, Crostyx continued press strong, creating some excellent opportunities. One of these chances was expertly converted through a brilliant short corner goal by Victor. Miles, in particular, displayed incredible effort, attempting to make it seem like we had 11 on the pitch still.
Unfortunately Old Southendians took advantage of the tired legs of the team and missing player scoring 4 goals.
Following some debate between the captain and vice-captain during the car ride home, it was decided that a single Man of the Match could not be chosen. Consequently, the joint Man of the Match honors were awarded to both Miles and Victor.
