A fantastic first tournament of the season for the U10 GIrls this weekend in which they won all of their matches in convincing style. With 3 girls making their Crostyx tournament debut it was lovely to see the enjoyment and smiles on all their faces!

First up they were against a mixed Waltham Forest side and dominated from the off remembering all their training from Andrew and Emma to win 4-0 with Molly Pratt scoring all 4 helped by amazing play by all the other girls.

Straight into their second match against Waltham Wildcats whose defence caused them a little more trouble but nothing they couldn't handle with a goal from Amber Lucas, on her debut, making the final score 1-0.

Next up Forest Foxes, with some excellent play early it looked like they would dominate again but a breakaway by the opposition saw them take a 0-1 goal lead. The girls fought back hard though, with a goal not long after by Antonia Delaney making the score even, before Molly Pratt put 2 more away to end the game 3-1 to Crostyx.

After a short break there was the final match of the day against a Redbridge and Ilford mixed side . Tiredness had started to set in but the girls didn't let their heads drop and remembered everything they had been taught to keep their defence tight and push forward. A determined Joan found the back of the next on her debut ending the match 1-0.

A big shout out to all the girls that played, especially Amber, Ambar and Joan on their first tournament for Crostyx. Annabelle for her amazing powerful shots down the line and Molly, Antonia and Margo for fighting hard to get the ball into the D.

Here's to a bright season ahead!
