As fixtures secretary your job is to ensure that all our teams have training sessions and pitches booked for home games and to liaise with the leagues (East & London) and other clubs as well as playing venues to ensure that the league fixtures schedule goes ahead as smoothly as possible.

In practice this means that prior to the beginning of the season you have to advise the leagues how many teams will be competing in the season ahead.

Once the committee has agreed on start and end dates for training, these training sessions have to be communicated to Ashton and Lee Valley for the upcoming season and booked.

Once the fixtures are released by the leagues you have to identify pitch slots for home games and liaise with Ashton and Lee Valley to book those in and then upload to GMS and advise captains and Umpire Liaison Officer.

During the season you have to liaise with opposition clubs weekly to ensure everyone has details of venue, timings and information regarding teas after matches. And also to liaise between the home team captains and Janine regarding numbers for teas after games.

If matches are cancelled due to bad weather you have to reschedule home games in consultation with the team captains.

As a committee member there is a committee meeting the first Monday of every month via Zoom.
