We cannot play our matches without umpires and are always looking for new people to help umpire the matches. For the younger ones in the team it can be very rewarding and enjoyable, also it can be a skill used for DoE and finally it’s nice pocket money. John Santaub has kindly put together a summary of what is required to get on the umpiring ladder. Step 1

•⁠ ⁠Select - Umpire Level 1 Course (Online)
•⁠ ⁠Get Your EH Umpire Number and Register on GMS as Level 1 (Unassessed)

Step 2 plus
•⁠ ⁠Do a Game or Two - with Coaching
•⁠ ⁠Do another 3 or 4 Games - with Coaching if possible
•⁠ ⁠Get Assessed - by Phil/Paul/David (our Club Level 2 Senior Umpires)
•⁠ ⁠Become Level 1 (Assessed)
•⁠ ⁠Do Higher Level Club Games 
•⁠ ⁠Note: All games are paid £15 no matter if Level 1 Assessed or not.
